In class I wanted to make a series of bumper commercials for a television network. I decided on HGTV's BATHtastic!. I needed to follow the network branding, while still having an original approach to showcasing the upcoming show.
Programs used: Adobe: After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
So far, I've been working on a short animation in response to Moholy-Nagy's Mechanized Eccentric essay. That should be completed by March 4th and up ready to view. I uploaded tonight a kinetic type study featuring the Moody Blues. Feel free to check that out and feedback is always welcome.
Attended my first Rush concert on Saturday and it was stunning!
As an animator, there was a lot more to be impressed with other than their musical awesomeness! For every song, they had an intro (in HD) animation on the backdrop behind them to introduce the song. You knew which song there were going to play by the story/scene at the beginning. The style of the whole concert was in a circus from the early 1900's and the animation style was a magical mixture between paper cutouts and a 3d modeling like Animusic.
I'm working on an animation for my studio class Video Production 2. It's about a caterpillar's day avoiding death. I want it to be in a flowing ink style, but am having some trouble getting the masks to work completely so i'm working on getting the movement right in just a 2d line style before I complicate it more.
